Rainy Day Dogs...

I let the girls out in the morning to handle their business as usual and I fell back to sleep.  I woke up to the sound of rain just dumping.  Sat up in a panic...Oh crap...the girls are outside!  I walked out into the living room to see them sprinting around the yard hitting every puddle and taking plenty breaks to wrestle in the wet sandy horseshoe pits. Needless to say they were loving life.  Me...not so much...my lazy Sunday morning I had planned turned into a dog wash marathon Sunday.  Totally worth it.

The Birthday Girl...

Our sweet little lady turned a year old today! She is still just as sweet as the day we brought her home...Such a lover! It is amazing how much she has came into her own element and personality within the last month or so. She is all about playing fetch, all about it! Before she would just chase and hassle Whiskey. Not anymore...She is all up in the mix.

She is looking really good. All of her undercoat has been brushed out...but mostly shed in the kitchen and living room. She had been sick a few weeks back and lost a few pounds...she is starting to put a little weight back on...Not like her meatball sister....But she is getting there.

Happy Birthday, Lucy Bear!

Happy Birthday Meggy...

Meggy's birthday was this past weekend...The big 2-7! Happy Birthday, Mama! I love you! You are more and more beautiful everyday!

Meggy was on the hunt for a pair of gold heels for Matt & Samin's wedding. She never found them...but she did find all of these along the way...

Saturday morning we did up a little West Coast Tavern for brunch. I highly approve of the place...and I will be back. I am seen here enjoying the "Hair of the Dog" - That would be a tall PBR and a side of bacon...Like I said...I will be back...

While Megan was getting ready for the wedding I snapped a few cell phone pics of Lucy showing off her hops. She loves to catch the ball off the bounce. And then get rid of it ASAP before she feels that wrath of her mean littler big sister. I gotta set up my camera and grab a few more of these. Speaking of my camera...I really need to stop being lazy and take that thing with me.

Herding Instinct Test...

We rolled up to Action K9 Sports in Escondido with Becki, Patrick and Chlo to get the girls all a Herding Instinct Test. Chlo was a natural...Our girls...not so much. In their defense...they were pretty massive sheep...but I thought for sure Whiskey would have been more into it. She gave the sheep a chase or two here and there but nothing like I thought she would. Nice day in the sun...great to see the all the dogs out there giving it a go. Nice work on the certificate of completion, Chlo! Thanks Becki and Patrick!

Laid Up w/Company...

Surgery went smooth. I stressed all the way up to the moment of them knocking me out. All in all it wasn't too bad. I had some problems getting comfortable and some solid pain the first night. After that I just kept myself Medicated, Elevated and Iced. The leg photos are from 2 days after the surgery...Swollen and sore. The swelling has gone down and my stitches are out. Healing up very nicely. I also had my first visit with the Physical Therapist...He was impressed with my range of motion...come to think of it so far with all of my post-op visits everyone has been very impressed with my progress...I am taking that as a good sign. I am off of crutches and back to work as of today(Monday).

As you can see the Girls and Murphy did a great job of keeping me company during the day.

Andrea and Murphy have taken their next step in their relationship...they are now friends.

Megan was a freaking superstar!!!! I lover you, Mama! I couldn't of done it without you! Best nurse ever!

And THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone else that cruised by, brought me food, called, emailed, txt'd. Thanks for all the support guys! I have a great group of friends and family! I felt the love for sure....and I appreciate it!

Next PT goal is to have the leg lay perfectly flat on the ground and be able to bend the leg to a perfect 90 degrees...right now I am about an inch away from being flat on the ground and my 90 is about a 65. Sticking with my stretches...Trying to make this as smooth and as painless as a transition as I can.

I can't believe it is November 22nd...Holy crap...When did that happen?!?!
