Art Walk...

After an amazing breakfast with Ryan and Sacha we headed home and got pumped for Art Walk! Fiffin Market was playing at 2:00 so we headed down to catch the show and met up with Martin and Kerry. Watched the show, Drank a few Peroni, Drew on Martin's T-shirt, Art Walked it out, then headed to Lucha Libre for some grub. Solid little day...I am looking fwd to trying out the 'ol recline lever on the couch!

Cardiff-By-The-Sea...Owl Watching...

Last year around this time...Ryan told us about some Great Horned Owls in their neighborhood that had given birth to little baby owls. We headed up in search of some major owl watching...But we never spotted them.

So it's that time of year again...and Ryan posted a few photos of the newest batch of babies. Freaking awesome! After the Wyatt Party in Poway we cruised over to Cardiff to have a few cocktails and some quality owlage. They were out and about and checking us out as much as we were checking them out. Three little ones.

Owl watching makes you really thirsty...so we headed back to their place for a cocktail refill or two. Once the sun stared to go down we headed back over just in time for the parental owls to bring back grub for the babies. FREAKING AWESOME! Those little guys were macking down on a mouse that mama brought back. It was sweet! They are just starting to get brave and trying to fly. Super freaking awesome!

Ryan and Sacha...thanks for the rally and the hospitality! Or should I say thanks for accepting Megan's offer to have us come to your place and have you guys take care of us! Either way...love you guys! Thanks again!

Aunt Pearl...

On the way to soccer Monday night the Titan decided it didn't want to have any more Transmission fluid...so it spit it all out...I feel like it might have been in honor of Earth Day. I managed to get off the freeway and onto a side street. Joe taxied Mega and I back home to figure out a game plan (Thanks for that buddy!). I went back in the morning hoping to find a obvious disconnected or cracked hose...no luck. I called the dealership and told them I was coming. Called AAA and got a tow...they in turn connected me to the SMARTEST tow truck driver in the WORLD! Dude couldn't find me...called me about 5 times. Our last conversation he asked me where I was...again! I told him I was on Kearny Villa Rd. just North of the 52...on Kearny Villa Rd. He then informed me that the 52 didn't go North and South...just East and West. and I would need to be more specific. Thank you sir...thank you for that bit of info.

So the Titan is getting all of it's Transmission hoses replaced and a topped off with new fluid. Then they are going to drive it...and keep your fingers crossed it'll be all good. If not...it might be getting expensive. They also rattled off about $1800 in other maintenance items I should take care of...that just seemed to show up now that my warranty period is over and not when I was last there...right before it was over.

After I dropped Megan off at work on a glorious Administrative Professionals Day...I took Aunt Pearl for a much anticipated oil change. I have read that Japanese Water Torture is bad...I think smelling the bacon from The Original Pancake House and not getting any is even worse! I am going to have to eat bacon soon....mmmmm bacon.

Coronado Car Show...

We attempted to make the show...we saw the aftermath. Went to the beach and got sand blasted. Then we went on the hunt for cold beverages. Here is our aftermath.

I think my shorts are wet.

Be careful there are hydraulics.

Andrei's B-Day Supper...

@ The Riviera Room Supper Club in La Mesa...Grill your own grub with amazing side dishes. DELICIOUS! I still smell like steak! Deme...I wanted to get you a t-shirt...but I spaced on it...I guess we'll just have to go back next time you and Nick come to visit.

Old Man Breakfast...

Steve Waits rallies a crew for breakfast once a month...called "Old Man Breakfast." Not related to work...just getting people together and have breakfast. I received and invite that said Original Pancake House on Convoy...that's all I read and I was in. It could have been a time share seminar I had no idea...If you add "Original Pancake House" in your message you'll usually get some of my attention. Pigs In A Blanket...amazing! The waiter didn't bring me the tropical syrup...kinda missed that part. It was still amazing...as you can tell from the photo! The strawberry pancakes looked stellar...they had what looked like a whole basket of sliced strawberries on top of them. I gotta go back soon! Best bacon EVER!

I am sooooo ready for a nap!

Memories...

Every once in a great while something hits me and brings back a memory as vivid as the day it happened. For example...

Opening my rarely opened tool box full of colored pencils, art supplies and what have you. Totally reminds me of my Pops walking me across the black top to my first day of first grade at Our Lady of Mercy...My pencil box with all my school supplies...Completely brings me to that flashback.

A few years back Megan and I got Mojito's at Gulf Coast Grill...As soon as I got my nose close to the glass the smell of the mint hit me. We always had this random patch of mint at the end of our backyard. I don't know if it had been planted there and one time and always showed back up...or what the deal was. It totally took me back to running around like a banshee in the backyard.

Sooo...I told myself I wasn't going to post images from the web...just photos I took or peoples I knew took...buuut this one is just too good.

Joe sent me this yesterday. Not even joking this image brought back sooo many memories! The sound of the rotating blade on Roton as you pushed it forward, The weird smell of Mer-Man, The water squirting capabilities of Kobra Khan, The Battle Armor chests of Heman and Skeletor, Man-E-Faces cycling faces, Ram-Man's spring loaded goodness, the stupid clip-on wings for Stratos, How lame Buzz-off was, Prince Adam's flocked pink pants, and how baddass Castle Grayskull was! Holy crap!
