Bob Baker Vintage VW Spring Festival...

Sunday we cruised up to Carlsbad to check out the 17th Annual Bob Baker Vintage Volkswagen Spring Festival...Presented by Strictly Vintage 2's. It was a cool little VW show...all set up in the front lot of the Bob Baker VW and Subaru...Decent turn out...nice variation in vehicle types, styles, restoration levels, quality.

As soon as we arrived I ran into one of my co-workers Ron Padua...he had his vehicle on display...it is the black 356 Porsche Speedster in the photos...awesome little ride! Chris, Nicki and Maddie met us @ the show...we cruised it...did some conversing...and decided it was time for beers and some grub.

Chris took us on a scenic driving tour of North County inland then dropped Whiskey off @ The Lewis Manor for some quality time with Lily. Then we snuck away to try out the San Marcos Brewery & Grill. Pretty tasty food...we tried out a few of their house beers...Pretty solid all around.

Our Little Sunglass Model...

Saturday Megan was out and about wedding dress shopping with Becki. So Whiskey and I took the opportunity to tackle some stuff around the house. We watched the UEFA Champions League Final...Cleaned up the garage a bit...and tried on Mom's sunglasses...After the modeling session we took a nap. Pretty solid Saturday afternoon if I do say so myself!

Meggy's Mustache Tattoo...

For the past four years on Megan's birthday she has talked about getting a mustache tattooed on her finger...and I have made her think about it every year. This year she decided it was happening. We stopped into to see Briana at her newest shop Mum's Custom Tattoo in Pacific Beach. Great shop! Nice and bright...super open...awesome artist tattoo stations...and of course the ever so beautiful Buju was there doing what Buju does.

Becki and Patrick...

I don't know if you all have heard...but Megan's sister Becki and Patrick are engaged! Super stoked for them...Congrats guys! We stopped by on Saturday for some pizza and I got a chance to meet Patrick's mom. And we found out that if the whole banking route doesn't work out for Becki...she can always fall back on hand modeling.

Happy Birthday Meggy...

Last Friday was Megan's birthday...the big 26! We rallied a crew for some sushi @ Ebisu. Solid turn out...great food as always! Megan and I are huge fans of Ebisu...not just the food but the staff as well. If you are in the mood for some awesome sushi definitely give Ebisu a try!

Thank you everyone for making it out...Megan had a BLAST! And an extra extra extra special thank you to Becki for building Megan an amazing birthday!

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday, Megan,
Happy Birthday to you!

Monkey Business...

My buddy Jim Brown has been posting a drawing a day on his blog since the new year started...No small task! Lately his theme has been monkeys...It reminded me of this photo.

Phone Photo Drop...Number One...

I've had a bunch of photos that I have either taken with my phone or they have been sent to me on my phone and I wasn't too sure how I wanted to share them...then it hit me. What better way to celebrate a bunch of random photos than a photo collage?!? Enjoy!

4:38am...Did anyone see the train that hit me?

4:39am...What happened?!

It felt like forever until this event was going to be here...and now it has come and gone. Great times! I can't believe their wedding is next month!

We rented a great house in La Quinta...With the best entry gate security I have ever witnessed...It was ridiculous trying to get into that place...we cruised right in...everyone after us got hassled big time. We spent tons of time by the pool, talking shit, drinking, and barbecuing. We did up one night out on the town...desert nightlife = interesting...and two rounds of golf 18 on Friday and 18 on Saturday.

The first course we played was Shadow Hills Golf Club...SUPER friendly staff that was STOKED to have us. Free range balls, loaded up our Karts with extra waters...all around GREAT customer service and a fun forgiving course. I only lost one ball...donated to one of the residents that lined the course. I hopped it up onto their patio...You are welcome Shadow Hills resident...please accept my gift to you.

The second course, The Golf Club at Terra Lago, was super scenic, tons of roadrunners, bunnies and one decapitated bunny head. This course had been the host course of the Skins Game from 1999 to 2002. "Friendly" would not be my first choice to describe the staff or the course for that matter. I am pretty sure I lost a ball at each of the first 9 holes. The back nine went a little better for me. Still fun once I got the first 9 out of the way.

Our last night Joe and I decided to finish off the rest of the CL Smoothies...The last few photos are us after our successful mission @ 4:38am. Which made for a touch and go drive home for me...I made it...I had a quite a few moments of doubt...but I made it.

Great times guys...A lot of fun! I feel like we should make this a yearly event...Who's with me?
