Joe's 56er Update...

Joe wanted to get some current progress photos of his 1956 Chevy Bel-Air...He fired her up and pulled it out into the sunlight yesterday. Sounds awesome...and it looks even better! She's getting there!

Take note of the smile on Joe's face in the last photo...that was after opening up the exhaust cutouts and having a few romps on the gas pedal.

While he was backing out of the garage we put the Sony Bloggie and the 360 lens on the ground as he drove over it...pretty sweet. Next time we are going to add some lights so you can see all the undercarriage awesomeness a little better.

Murphy Update...

Murphy and I had a little quality playtime this weekend...he was being a little too grumpy for is own good. So I roughed him up a little and then got him ripped on some cat nip. He was loving life.

Just in case you didn't notice...Murphy is still orange.

Painted Wheels...

My two weeks of comp time is rapidly coming to an end...I squeezed in some quality events...but it always comes to an end so fast.

One of my goals was to work on the Bug...I knocked out the rest of the Dynamat and tore out the old dash...got the new one placed in there...and it's looking good! Started dismantling some of the wiring and that is scary...it used to work...here goes nothing.

My other goal was to paint the wheels on the van...keep the center caps silver and paint the main wheel black...kinda cop style. It took me a few tries to get my system down but once I got it down I knocked them out...I am stoked on the end result. I'll post a full profile shot soon. I still get cutoff every where I drive...but it's starting to look a little more menacing...slow and steady.

Aussie Pups...

Cute Overload...Just as soon as I said I don't know how you could pick one out...

Meggy fell in love with this little girl...Super cute full white legs, Red-Tri with freckles all over her nose...

This is her...so damn cute! She was definitely my favorite of the bunch too...

Whiskey and her mom, Shadow...

Twix...

Whiskey's dad...who's name is escaping me...

Sunday Meggy and I packed up Whiskey to go see Alan and Ila and their dog's latest litter of puppies. The father of the litter is Whiskey's dad(Who's name is still escaping me)...and the mother is their other female(Bella). She had eleven pups...holy crap it is like a cute explosion! One Red Merle female and the rest of the boys and girls are Red Tri's. All super cute...two big old meatballs with full white tops of the head...and the tiniest little runt that was super cute. Whiskey got in some playtime in with her mom, Shadow. It was cool to see.

Cheap-O-Fisheye...

Yum...

Murph hates it when I get new camera stuff...

As does Murph's Mom...

Murph squaring up to swat at Whiskey...

Rawr...

Many moons ago we were skating in San Francisco and we stopped into one of the many tourist trap camera shops...they had a cheap ass fish eye that would attach to the end of your current lens and to sweeten the sale the show owner threw in the adapter ring for my video camera too. We beat the shit out of that thing...it was total crap but we definitely got our monies worth. I'll have to dig up some old stuff.

If you know me...I love to blow money on stupid things...it's kinda my thing...but I have a hard time spending it on camera lenses. I don't really know why?!?!

So for shits and giggles and to see if I want a real fish eye lens I tracked this guy down on Amazon. It is a cheap ass heavy piece of crap...but it is so much fun to play with. And I think it sealed the deal...someday I might order a fish eye lens...maybe.

Disneyland...

I didn't even notice that the dancer was looking right @ me until I posted this...I was watching this little guy in the Superman t-shirt. He was kinda into the music and the dancing but you could tell he was ready to get outta there and do up some Disneyland.

My parents were going to Disneyland to celebrate their anniversary...Meggy and I set a plan in motion to surprise my mom...aaaaand it almost worked. My mom went up to the front desk to check in...

Mom: I'd like to check in please.
Front Desk: Your name?
Mom: Karen Fordice.
Front Desk: We don't have a room for Karen...We only have Doug and Neil.

Whaaa whaaa waaaaaaaaaaaaa...Spoiled our master plan.

They did knock $50 off our room for the first night...that was nice of them.

We met up Thurday night for dinner and drinks. Then on Friday we hit the ground running at 8am...It was awesome! We knocked out SO many rides in the first few hours it was perfect! Spent the rest of the day just cruising around riding rides and teasing my mom about her iPhone addiction.

It's been about 25 years since my last visit to Disneyland...I didn't cry quite as much this time. I was amazed at how neat and tidy everything was...freaking amazing. I can't even imagine the co-ordination behind the scenes to keep that place running as smooth as they make it look...freaking crazy to think about.

Great to see you Mom and Dad! Happy Anniversary! I love you guys! We'll see you soon!
