San Diego's Big Three Auto Swap...

Strolled around the Big Three with Megan...Took in the sights. It was a warm one...and a lot of shit to see. We caught most of it. The highlights for me were the Lemonade, the Green Rivi and Chopper Dave's Crew firing up their bikes and bailing. Cruised over to Joe's after to supervise his new turn signal/tail light install...looks great...soooo much cleaner. It's too bad you don't get to see it cause I didn't take a picture...I am getting good at that! Sorry about that! I love the pic of Joe...He looks like he is working in a reaaaally tiny garage.

Fountain...

After Trisler's I snapped a few photos of The Fountain at The Promenade at Rio Vista. I should have taken a little more time and a few more photos...but that always seems to be the case. Patience...I am working on it.

X-Feds 5 Year Anniversary...

Ran across this motorcycle deviant terrorizing the 5 South on our way to lunch.

50 State Quarters...

Big day today blog followers! For Christmas in 1999 my mom gave me a book to start collecting all of the newly issued State quarters...already freshly loaded with the first one...Delaware. I am not a coin collector at all...but...some how over the past ten years I have managed/remembered to throw the new quarters in there when they came out...and not use them for laundry or beer money...How I have managed that...I have noooo idea! 50 State Quarters...Look at them and weep in their glory!

Funny Car...

Opened my email this morning to find these little photo gems of Lee Jennings Sr.'s An American Revolution in my inbox! HOLY SHIT this thing is baddass! New body on the dragster. They'll be testing for two days in Bakersfield then the weekend after they will be back for the March Meet...Check em out if you get a chance!

Lucha Libre Taco Shop...

Ran Downtown @ lunch to pick up some tickets @ 4th & B for Hank III tomorrow. I decided to try out Lucha Libre Taco Shop on the way back. It's right off of Washington and the 5...It used to be Valentine's. I went for their Surf & Turf Taco(Steak, Shrimp and Avocado Slices in a Special Sauce) and A Tap Out Taco(Chicken, Grilled Veggies, Cheese, Poblano Sauce w/Avocado slices). The Surf & Turf was soooo DAMN good it pretty much ruined it for the Tap Out. And of course I had a TJ Hot Dog(Bacon wrapped Hot Dog with Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, Grilled Onions and Bell Peppers) for dessert. I'll be back...great food...good prices...any place that serves a bacon wrapped "TJ Hot Dog" is okay in my book.

There is a special booth that you can reserve 24hrs in advance...It's that baddass gold one in the photo. Anyone interested in having a romantic meal in the Champions Booth in the near future?!?

Skittle Infused Vodka...

While reading the world wide interweb I found out "Infusing vodka with Skittles is a very popular trend right now." Not to be deemed unhip and expelled from the cool crowd we decided to give it a run for it's money. I was going to take a bunch of step by step photos...but that woulda meant I'd have to clean the kitchen first and that wasn't going to happen. And this person already did that:

Skittle Infused Vodka

It's pretty simple...mix 6oz. of vodka and 60 skittles of one flavor in a empty water bottle...shake it up occasionally and wait for them to dissolve. The next step is to filter out the foamy sugar stuff with a coffee filter. Then transfer it into its final vessel, chill and then consume.

It's supposed to be pretty tasty...and you'll be the hit of the party at your next gay pride parade. Mesh half shirt...Check! Chaps...Check! Bandoleer full of Skittle infused vodka...Check! All systems gooooooo. Bwahahahaha. Man I'm funny!

Still waiting for the dissolve...taste test hopefully soon. I am already tired of Skittles...I've been eating all the left overs.

University Ave...

Top of the Georgia St. bridge looking east along University Ave.

I have been wanting to shoot some light trails/long exposure/night shots from this spot since I got my camera. Aaand I finally got off my ass and took a few. Well...it was along the way to where I parked my truck...So I guess I didn't really get off my ass I just kinda lazily took advantage of it.

So far I am two for two on having the police stop me and ask what I am doing while taking night time photographs. Drunken stumbles home at all hours of the night for the last 6 or so years I have been back in San Diego...no problem! Transient couple about 20 feet away rolling joints and peeing in the empty church parking lot...no problem! Have a tripod set up with a camera?! Somethings fishy...Let's stop this guy! I do have to admit both times the officers have been very nice!

Dear SDPD,
Please keep up this trend of stopping me when I am obeying the law. Thank you!
Lovingly Yours,
Neil Fordice

Soooo....I got a chance to bust out my tripod and my new RC-1 remote that I got for the amazing "CLEARANCE" price of $29.99! Regularly priced at $30.00! I tried to explain it to the Ritz camera dude how funny that was...but he didn't find it as humorous as I did...he also seemed to have been really bothered that I even came into the store. Ryan and Steve P had a funny comparison of Photo Store employees to Record Store employees...They usually have the same pompous holier than thou attitude....pretty amusing! Ritz camera...why do I even go there anymore...I need to cut that sh*t out.

Make sure you click on the photo for a larger version.

And no that's not my truck parked in front of F Street.

Meggy's Tattoo - Second Sitting...

More outline work...Adding a thick outline around the outside edges. This thing is going to pop soooo much with some gray washed background elements and all colored in. This round looked like it was quite a bit more painful than the last sitting. A bit more outline to go then comes the start of the shading. Looking good!

Happy Birthday Pops!!!

My Dad...my hero. It's still the case Pops! I love you...Have a great birthday!

USA Rubgy Sevens...

Rugby Sevens a beautiful excuse for a 9:00am shotgun drinking start and lounging in the sun all day...continuing to pickle our livers. I some how forgot the one rule of all day drinking...Don't stop. We got home around 7:00...coincidence?...and it felt like my head was going to explode. I was chugging water and aspirin like they were going out of style. Besides the splitting headache once we got home...It was an AWESOME day! Thanks for getting it all put together Steve! Did I mention the Schorn's have the cutest girls EVER!

Keep your peepers peeped for a Steve's eye view of this shot on his blog...
