Catch Up: Goodguys Nationals Del Mar - 3-31-2012
Every year I look at my photos from Del Mar Goodguys and I have a ton of photos of all of the same cars...I just went for a few highlights this year. The biggest highlight of them all...well next to Zoe being there...Was Joe entering his '56. He put a lot of work into his ride...And after all of the years of talking about having his car in the show...It was great to finally see it in there. Nice work, Joseph.

Big Day...
It has been a long time coming...but today was the day.
Joe and I both cruised our rides into work! Woot Woot!
We picked up his ride yesterday @ Hot Rods & Custom Stuff after they finalized a few finishing touches on the clutch and transmission.
Super stoked on Joe's ride...It is freaking beautiful. It didn't really seem like it had been that long since we were sand blasting the frame @ his dad's shop. Then we did the math...It has been that long. Crazy to look back at the starting point to where it is now...Awesome!
Congrats buddy! Glad to see all your hard work pay off...Stoked to see you on the road!
I am going to need a significantly large head start or a really strong tail wind to keep up with him once he gets her all broken in.

Joe's '56 @ Armando's...
Monday we bailed work early and headed North to San Jacinto to check out the progress on the interior of Joe's Bel-Air. The shop is called Armando's Rod & Customs...Great guys...Super knowledgeable...And they do GREAT work! They had the carpet, the headliner, wood for door panels installed and the seat foam ready on the front seat. So far it was looking awesome...and it's still a work in progress. Super stoked for Joe and all his years of hard work...It's going to be sweet seeing this thing rolling down the street...Can't wait.

Joe's 56er Update...

Joe wanted to get some current progress photos of his 1956 Chevy Bel-Air...He fired her up and pulled it out into the sunlight yesterday. Sounds awesome...and it looks even better! She's getting there!
Take note of the smile on Joe's face in the last photo...that was after opening up the exhaust cutouts and having a few romps on the gas pedal.
While he was backing out of the garage we put the Sony Bloggie and the 360 lens on the ground as he drove over it...pretty sweet. Next time we are going to add some lights so you can see all the undercarriage awesomeness a little better.
