Catch Up: Julian Barn & Baileys BBQ - 3-3-2012
This seems like yesterday...I can't believe it was five months ago. Becki, Patrick and Chlo took us out to Julian to check out a perspective barn for our wedding venue. We dug it immediately...We have been camping there since then and done a bit of planing towards having our wedding at the barn. The girls got their first taste of snow...I don't know who loved it more...The girls or Megan and I watching them.
Afterwards we cruised over to Bailey's BBQ...Which at the time I would have written RAVE reviews about. Mostly for my love of Tom, Lindsay, BBQ and good beer. Since then two of those four those ties are no longer at Bailey's. And unfortunately those two were the best part...I no longer feel the need to stop in when I am in Julian. Total bummer it was a great spot with amazing potential.

Happy Easter...

For Easter Meggy wanted to BBQ leg of lamb. Saturday we picked up a rotisserie for the grill...super stoked on that! And Sunday morning we tracked down a few boneless leg of lamb...got them home stuffed them with garlic gloves then Meggy commenced the rub down...Parsley, Basil, Rosemary, Salt, Pepper and Olive Oil. I over cooked them a tad...I wanted one medium and one done...and they were both done. I'd say it was a pretty successful first attempt.

This is the earthquake aftermath...my desk at work. Nothing major...It just launched CD cases and a pint glass out of my cabinet on to my desk and floor.
We were in the backyard when it hit. Our umbrella started rocking then all the windows started shuttering...It was a pretty solid shock. Three dogs playing in the backyard...no freaking out...no early warning...just playing having a good old time.

Sunday BBQ...

Sunday we cruised over to Jasin, Rachel, Megan, Tobias and Neesha's house for a little bbq. Buju got to run around with some full sized pitbulls...and wore herself right out. Awesome spread of food...Besides all the Coors Lights I'd definitally have to say my highlight of the bbq was the Bacon wrapped Jalapenos stuffed with Gouda and Shrimp. Oh man...So damn good! Thanks for having us over guys.

Dr. Lewis Memorial Day BBQ...

The Dr. Lewis Household had everyone over to celebrate a little Memorial Day and to enjoy the newly laid paver patio, patio furniture, grass and to see the Lily "The Amazing Ball of Energy Show." Amazing food as always! The day started out real chill just lounging in the backyard enjoying the day...and then the beer pong table got set up and the drinking got kicked into overdrive. Two separate beer runs for 84 more beers and 18 of those coming in 20oz form. Solid work people...I think Chris put it best, "Nothing like drinking on a Monday and acting like it's a Friday." Thanks for having us!
