Del Mar Lunch...

Andrei and I stopped into Board and Brew for lunch and then walked on down to the water to remind us why we live in San Diego. That ocean thing is pretty amazing! Every time I head down to the water I ask myself...

Self, Why don't you come down to the water more often? Every time you do...You ask yourself the same question. But you rarely ever come back. Why, Self, Why?

Maybe this year...Maybe.

El Gato Dos...

Beautiful day...We started out at 5am and hit every kelp patty on the way out. We saw Bluefin, Yellowfin, Yellowtail, a huge pod of dolphins and we even chased a few Marlin for a while. They were out there but didn't want anything to do with us. We did reel in a few rock cod at the end just to save a little face and bring home fish...It was kinda like a kick in the gut at that point. I had a good time...Kind of expensive for a boat ride...enjoyable none the less. I had huge dreams of filling my new cooler with fish and then breaking in my new vacuum sealer all evening. Next year.

Saturday...

Meggy and I attempted to go to Reggeae Fest/Horse Races/Beer Tasting...buuut it was a freakin zoo! So we bailed up to the Volek's. Had a few cocktails with Ryan...Went to Moreland Choppers to pick up his freshly mounted tire...Met Ben at The Tidewater for a few more cocktails...Stopped in at Ryan's local market grabbed enough food to feed a small drunk army...Went up on the roof had a few more cocktails...started to get eaten alive by mosquitos...Cooked up some dinner...Played some Hot Shots Golf...Scarfed down some amazing grub...Watched the Olympics. Discussed Cloud Seeding with Dennis...Racked out on Ryan and Sacha's futon...Thanks guys!!!
