North Carolina Trip: Part Nine...The Finale

Last bit of the trip we stopped in to visit with Mr. B...Meggy's band director.

The first photos are being taken during his response to Megan's Mom's comment of, "Megan was so shy."

To which Mr. B replied, "Uhh...yea...Megan may have been shy freshman year...buuuut Senior year I don't think she was too shy."

Great guy...Everyone who I have ever met that knows this guy has had nothing but amazing things to say about him.

After our visit we swang by the Havelock Visitors Center...just missing visitor hours..so I snapped a few photos of aircraft out front.

And lastly cruising in the Malibu back to Wilmington. Great trip! Thank you again EVERYONE for all the hospitality and good times!

North Carolina Trip: Part Eight...

Meggy and I got a VIP tour of the local haunts, hotspots and watering holes. Tun's Tavern, BT's and lastly Olivia's...which I sadly learned that they did not sell souvenir t-shirts. I think they should...It'd be a big seller.

North Carolina Trip: Part Seven...

For Mother's Day/Megan's Mother's Birthday we took her out to dinner at The Beaufort Grocery. I am pretty sure everyone enjoyed it...I sure did! Before dinner we took the scenic route to Beaufort and made a stop off at Fort Macon. Awesome old fort from the Civil War days. Really cool to see...Awesome location!

North Carolina Trip: Part Six...

After dinner we cruised to Beaufort to check out a little bit of the Beaufort Music Fest. Awesome historic town...tons of beautifully restored old homes. The moon was amazing that night.

North Carolina Trip: Part Five...

The next morning after the graduation festivities we took the drive up to Havelock, NC...Meggy's hometown. We were greeted by Megan's mom and dad and an amazing line up of food! Lamb roasted on a spit, Pulled pork sandwiches with homemade coleslaw, Sweet Potato Wedges, Satay Chicken Skewers with Peanut sauce, Three different cakes with fresh strawberries for topping. Absolutely amazing spread! Delicious! Megan got to see all kinds of peoples she hadn't seen in quite some time. Awesome day out! Visited, ate, had a few beers...solid!

North Carolina Trip: Part Four...

More Graduation Photos. And dinner at The George...ate way too much! Great view of the water...good food...nice big table for everyone. Good times! I would definitely call this the calm before the storm...unknowingly to the town of Wilmington...they were about to be blown away by Meggy's dance moves.

This is a good time to bring up that I had an item list of things I wanted to experience while in North Carolina:

View some sort of Michael Jordan history
CHECK - Saw a restaurant where he waited tables in his hometown called Whitey's

Eat at Bojangles
CHECK - Did that twice

See a firefly
NEGATIVE

See a Donk
CHECK - Happened pretty much immediately and often

Hear Petey Pablo's "Raise Up"
CHECK - Played at the end of the night right before they turned the lights on and shuffled everyone out.

4 out of 5 - I'd say that equals success!

North Carolina Trip: Part Three...

Ashley's Graduation from UNC Wilmington. Got a campus tour from Trever. Showed up just as the graduates were flowing in. Nice little ceremony. Took some after photos...Here's a few. This is'll be a two parter.
